The simple sweatshirt is now playing a role at both work and play. This once inherently casual gym attire is now the hottest must-have wardrobe staple for fall. Pair it with a faux leather skirt and classic pumps for an effortlessly chic look for the office. Wearing a slightly fitted sweatshirt is key to avoid looking bedraggled.

Still not sure it will pass the dress code? Try a feminine white pointed collar dress shirt underneath to soften your appearance.

What do you think? Would you wear a sweatshirt to the office?

Bordeaux - The New Black! Color Trend!

Fall is here and the latest color trend to land on the radar is bordeaux. Freshen up your wardrobe this season by adding the luscious wine hue as an accent or be daring and go head to toe! Below are just a few examples of bordeaux accessories that would add a pick-me-up to last year's stale attire!

Bordeaux is one of my favorite fall colors, but I have to admit, I don't wear it as often as I would like. I feel it doesn't compliment my skin tone well and when I do wear it, I limit it to accessories below the waist. One of my favorite looks is pairing bordeaux with pink. Yes, pink! It is fabulously feminine and fun!

What do you think of this deep, rich hue? Do you incorporate bordeaux into your fall and winter apparel?

Tickle Me Pink!

Have you considered adding blush pink to your wardrobe this fall? Flattering to most skin tones, blush pink is an understated feminine neutral - not as girly as cotton candy pink.

When I first saw the blush pink hue appearing on fashion runways last year, I didn't realize it would become the new neutral color with staying power, easily transitioning from season to season.

Blush works well with with black, white, pewter, camel, chocolate, but for a real fashion pick-me-up, try pairing blush with burgundy!

Well, tickle me pink. Below is an example of how easy it is to incorporate blush accessories into your fall fashion apparel. Below we simply added blush accessories to your basic everyday neutrals consisting of a white sweater and blue jeans.

Meet Fall's New Jewel Tone!

We're adding fresh depth to our Fall closet with emerald hues. Set to be a big trend this season (it was spotted on Christian Dior, Stella McCartney, and Akris runways), the jewel tone has quickly become our go-to color. Its rich shade complements a range of skin tones, proves versatile on many shapes, and offers a way for the color-shy to effortlessly expand upon their neutral palettes without making too much noise. What do you think? Will you be wearing emerald this fall?

Fall in Love with Florals!

Mark your first day back with a burst of blooms. Whether you think bright or stick to a subtle palette, floral prints are an easy way to up the charm factor of your look. And this season, they also go beyond the flirty dress — we spotted a floral bomber that would make for a perfect alternative to our favorite denim jacket. Not wanting to go all over with the petals? Stick to an accessory, like a Johnston & Murphy scarf or pretty ships wristlet (shown below).

Decorating Your Porch For Fall!

Decorating your porch for fall is a beautiful and easy way to add a touch of warmth to your front door. There's a reason you see mums each fall - they work! Whether your porch is in the sun or shade, with very little care, mums are almost guaranteed to produce vibrant, rich colored blooms. Adding instant texture and color to your outdoor space.

Vertical displays also make a big impact at the front door. Creating stacked pumpkin topiaries in large Grecian urns, adds a distinctive twist to placing the pumpkins on the steps.

In the photos below, look closely and you will find plenty of inspiration. Just think fall - mums, apples, pumpkins, leaves, and bales of hay! Have a few apple baskets in the garage? Even they can be included in your outdoor decor (see first photo)! Paint in the garage? Paint your house number on one or a group of pumpkins.
