You may be surprised at how many of these decor items you may already have around your house. Think colorful candles, platters, decorative bowls, vases, etc.

Of course, Martha always makes it look easy. I was surprised to see that Martha uses string lights in her pumpkins.  Unless I decide to display my pumpkins indoors in the foyer (as shown below), string lights are too much work for me. I'll be using a few battery-operated tea lights outdoors.

Decorating Your Porch For Fall!

Decorating your porch for fall is a beautiful and easy way to add a touch of warmth to your front door. There's a reason you see mums each fall - they work! Whether your porch is in the sun or shade, with very little care, mums are almost guaranteed to produce vibrant, rich colored blooms. Adding instant texture and color to your outdoor space.

Vertical displays also make a big impact at the front door. Creating stacked pumpkin topiaries in large Grecian urns, adds a distinctive twist to placing the pumpkins on the steps. 

In the photos below, look closely and you will find plenty of inspiration. Just think fall - mums, apples, pumpkins, leaves, and bales of hay! Have a few apple baskets in the garage? Even they can be included in your outdoor decor (see first photo)! Paint in the garage? Paint your house number on one or a group of pumpkins.

Now that October is here, it is time to start thinking of Halloween decor. Halloween is one of the best holidays to go all out with ghoulish decor, but being festive, doesn't mean it has to be expensive. Throughout the month, I will be bringing you fun, budget-friendly Halloween inspiration ideas.

The first inspiration project I would like to share with you are these pumpkins with a purpose. I adore these porch pumpkins with house numbers. It's a look that can carry you through Thanksgiving as well, giving you even more bang for your buck! Depending on your artistic ability, you can paint the numbers free hand or use a stencil.
