Fourth of July is almost here and we've got the easiest style inspiration that will have you looking pretty and patriotic in red, white and blue! Fourth of July fashion can be fun and easy without being too overt! Except for the shorts, the pieces shown below are simple staple pieces that everyone should have in their closet: a blue, red or white tank, plain denim shorts, and a pair of wedge sandals! I couldn't resist the high waist "Mom" flag denim shorts! Yes, Nordstrom calls them Mom shorts. I call them "real life" shorts. {smile}

Now, isn't pulling together a 4th of July outfit easy? You'll be the coolest patriot at the picnic!

To many people, turquoise represents an escape, taking them to a tropical paradise that is pleasant and inviting – even if it is only a fantasy.

Turquoise is universally flattering and translates easily to fashion and interiors. With both warm and cool undertones, Turquoise pairs nicely with any other colors in the spectrum. Turquoise adds a splash of excitement to neutrals and browns, complements reds and pinks, creates a classic maritime look with deep blues, livens up all other greens, and is especially trend-setting with yellow-greens. I love turquoise beads on a crisp white shirt!

Outdoor Fireplace Project! (Step #1)

Well, I finally have the final drawing for my outdoor fireplace. I'm using the above photo for my inspiration. As you can see from the drawing, ~~my husband~~ we decided against a lovely, cozy seating arrangement on the sides of the fireplace. Instead, there will be flat surfaces to place hors d'oerves, dinner platters, ~~an obnoxious television for sports~~ blooming summer flowers, and more.

The posts look strange in the drawing, but they are supposed to look like the above photo. My next step will be to select the stone. My house is brick, so I want to have a stone fireplace to break it up a bit. I'm using the same brick from the house inside of the cubby inserts. What do you think?
