Princess Diaries ~ A Fairytale Prom Gown!

Ever since my daughter was a little girl, she has always wanted to be a princess. Even though she is a teenager now, we still watch Disney princess movies together. This past Halloween was no different. She couldn't wait to dress up as Snow White. Carefully, she followed a Youtube tutorial for Snow White makeup and, if I do say so myself, she did a pretty darn good job. (photo below)

I guess you could say my daughter is a die-hard Disney princess fan, and I suppose it isn't any surprise that she wanted to be a princess for her Senior Prom too.

Well, the house was buzzing with beauty prepping and last minute tidying up around the house on Friday, and you could feel the excitement in the air. Before we knew it, the moment we had been waiting for arrived. It was time for my daughter to put on "The Dress." She chose a beautiful princess ball gown for her Senior Prom. Even though all of the other girls from her school were wearing long dresses, she wanted a big, poofey ball gown. I must admit that I was a little apprehensive that she might look too youthful for a Senior Prom

As she came down the stairs, she looked absolutely beautiful! I was very proud and happy that she had the confidence to follow her heart and wear a princess ball gown. I'm not so sure I would have had the same level of confidence when I was her age.

And now without further adieu, here is the dress...

The princess pose!

Bye my little princess. Have fun at the prom! Love you!

PromGirl Pumps Up The Glam at the HeartThrob Ball Event!

The stars were shining brightly Friday evening, May 4th, at Cleveland Public Hall, as event attendees came out for the HeartThrob Ball to support Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital. Everyone was a winner at the event, especially the children, as over $100,000 was raised to renovate existing space at the Center for Autism into a specially designed preschool room.
PromGirl.net provided an amazing embellished sequined dress for me to wear to this special charity event. The knee length Clarisse dress added elegance and glam while strutting down the red carpet. I polished off the formal look of the dress with gold shimmering platform peep toe pumps to sparkle from head to toe!
Embellished Sequined Dress from PromGirl.net
If you have a special event coming up, you will want to visit PromGirl.net to view an array of designer cocktail attire, party dresses, formal gowns, and premier evening wear. You are sure to find something that is absolutely YOU, absolutely amazing!

Scott Hamilton, Special Guest Speaker
One of the highlights of the evening was a surprise visit from American figure skater and Olympic gold medalist, Scott Hamilton. Scott was born in Ohio and has been a patient at the Cleveland Clinic. Scott founded the CARES Intitiative (Cancer Alliance for Research, Education and Survivorship), a thriving partnership with the Cleveland clinic Taussig Cancer Center. Scott CARES focuses on patient education, mentoring and fun raising research.
The well-deserved Courage Award recipients Jaime Bradford, Gabe Boylan, and Jose Dybzinski, were the Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital honorees and the heroes of the event. Each of these children inspire us with their indomitable spirit, strength and fortitude. They face their overwhelming obstacles every day with courage and determination.
Two-time Grammy award winners, Kool & The Gang, entertained the crowd and didn't miss a beat. The group has taken a generation through four decades and are best known for their hit song "Celebrate Good Times, C'mon!," together with other songs such as "Jungle Boogie," "JoAnna," and "Cherish the Love."
I was a bit surprised at the "up close and personal" concert.
Yes. That's my hand one of the lead singers is holding! I'm still giggling like a teenager!
A good time was had by all.
