Homemade White Truffle Hot Chocolate
With colder days coming our way, there’s nothing better than snuggling up with a large blanket, some comfortable slippers and a large cup of hot chocolate.
When it comes to hot chocolate, the sky’s the limit with flavor profiles and different toppings. I can never say no to an abundant amount of mini marshmallows but lately, I’ve been wanting to get more creative with my cocoa.
There’s a café near my house that serves the most exquisite white hot chocolate. It’s creamy, full of flavor and is the perfect drink on a cold and chilly night. Its sweet aroma fills the air and the first sip begins to warm you up from the inside out. Of course, I immediately wanted to make my own and so I developed the recipe with a slight twist: White Truffle Hot Chocolate.
It's a Thornton Thanksgiving In Chicago! {GUEST POST!}
BY: KENDRA THORNTON
I love this time of year when the
leaves change colors and the temperature starts to drop. It means that winter
is just around the corner, and with it will come the holiday season. It means
that it is time to start planning for Thanksgiving, which is my favorite
holiday of the year. The thing I love the most about Thanksgiving is that it is
a holiday that exists to allow us to show our gratitude for all the gifts we
are fortunate enough to possess in our lives. One thing I am thankful for is
that we are having a big family gathering here at the Thornton house this
Thanksgiving.
Since I am doing the cooking for
this Thanksgiving feast, I have been looking to find as many recipes as I can
to make it a memorable meal. I have been finding lots of ideas for fun festive appetizers and
desserts on Pinterest. I am fortunate this year to
have the help of my three little ones. This means that I have been looking for
some simple recipes so that they can help me out this year without
making too big of a mess.
