Well, this morning my daughter moved into her college dorm. It was hard to say good bye, but I know she is ready to start a new chapter of her life. She's almost packed and ready to go! My daughter leaves for college in exactly one week. We've made a list and we're checking it twice to make sure she has everything. I wanted to make her send-off special, so I put together a little care package. If you have a relative or somebody heading off to college, putting together a care package is a great way to let them know you are thinking of them. Simply find a pretty container and fill it with healthy snacks and/or personal care items such as shampoo, facial tissues and toothpaste. The package I prepared for my daughter didn't take long to assemble at all. I just added some toiletries and tucked a few family photos into a good luck card. One of my favorite photos is just the two of us in Cancun for her senior project. It was the first time she and I had ever been away from the men (dad and brother). I didn't frame any of the loose photos from the card, because I really don't expect her to have family photos sitting out in her dorm. However, I do hope she'll put them away in a drawer and look at them sometimes.
