COVERGIRL Is Turning "Can't" Into "Can" - #GirlsCan

When I was recently approached regarding COVERGIRL's #GirlsCan campaign, my daughter immediately came to mind. The #GirlsCan campaign promotes the empowerment of women by encouraging them to break down barriers and turn "can't" into "can."  Earlier this year, my daughter was told she can't be both a cheerleader AND a member of the band. She came home rather upset about the situation, and began to tell her father and I why she felt she could do both. After listening to my daughter, we felt she was right. She could do both. She scheduled an appointment to meet with her principal and she explained how she could manage both cheerleading and marching band. After meeting with her principal, he agreed and changed the rules of the school! Students can now cheer on Friday nights and be a member of the marching band. She made a difference. My daughter turned CAN'T into CAN!
