5 Essential Summer Fashion Pieces

With summer well on its way, I am so eager to see what trends will pop up on both the runway and in store-fronts. I love summer for its endless possibilities in materials, cuts, and colors. Textiles like linen, for instance, become ideal to wear for its comfort-factor during days of higher temperatures. I’m all about mixing and matching pieces and using every one of my clothing items to its full potential. All year long, I make the conscious effort to purchase pieces that are versatile and could be used to create different outfits for different occasions. This technique actually makes my wardrobe seem double its actual size.

I rounded up my essential pieces for the upcoming season. I spend a lot of my summer evenings dining out and spending time with friends and family. This year, I made sure to pick up pieces that would help build various looks so that I would always stay appropriate for whatever event I’d be attending. For me, it’s all about transitioning and taking your ensemble from “daytime-casual” to “evening-radiant.” Here’s what I’ve recently picked up: 

The Designer Look For Less!

Look like the fashionista you are, for less! White House|Black Market has just marked down this black fringed tote bag to $60 (Reg. $168).  A great compromise for those of us who are not ready to invest in the drool-worthy designer alternative with a hefty price tag. The hotel heiress is back at it again! Nicky Hilton has collaborated with handbag and accessories brand Linea Pelle to create a new Fall 2015 capsule collection: Nicky Hilton x Linea Pelle. The 11-piece collection of stunning luxury handbags are available in cheetah prints and genuine Italian leather in a variety of styles. I'm crushing over the entire collection!

"Each piece is stylish and practical for everyday. I try to always design timeless pieces that women will have in their wardrobes for years to come," stated Hilton.

Nicky has been one busy lady this year. She launched her Smashbox Cat-Eye Kits in June, married James Rothschild in a lavish London wedding in July, and launched her fall collection of handbags earlier this year.

With winter in full swing and windchills dipping below zero degrees up north, keeping warm can be a challenge. Fleece-lined leggings with a soft faux sherpa lined coat are not only comfy and cozy, they look great and help keep you warm. I'm stockpiled with fleece-lined leggings that I bought on clearance at the end of winter last year. I'm so glad I did. 

I've added a new item to my clearance wishlist for this year. It's this classic American Eagle parka in a beautiful cognac autumnal hue, reminiscent of warmer fall days. Love the color! The faux fur is removable too! The adorable Foggy Morning Gloves are from ModCloth!

Then, you can spice it up by slipping on the reversible sleeve with a fun Moroccan print or a trendy black/white swirl print. Too cute!

Changing the look of the bag couldn't be easier! The Base Bag stays in place and the slip is placed over the base bag and zipped up the side (see below). Super easy and super fast! Turn the slip inside out to change up the look. My bag is perfectly sized to hold my cell phone, keys, and credit cards. The interior of the base bag is completely lined and has an interior zipper pouch and an exterior zipper pouch. The entire Luvali concept has been planned out very well. I was surprised that when the slip is placed over the base bag, you can still access the exterior zipper pouch with ease - a very nice touch!

The Epiphanie Camera Bag Delivers Function, Fashion & Style {Review & Giveaway}
